I noticed that manual entry needs a bit of refinement. Sometimes the character seems to prepare for an ollie when I actually just want to do a manual.
With sequences: they were explained as being over once all four wheels hit the ground, but in practice it feels like they cancel more often than that.
Also jumping into a manual to keep your sequence seems inconsistent.
Yea and to add on that sometimes you land to hard that you cant get in a manual immediately. this means you will not keep the sequence going and have to try again. some missions require you to do 5 tricks in one sequence and the game doesn't give any freedom to this.
Yeah, I'm trying to the tutorial mission "Manual Extension" and I am finding it completely impossible to "land in manual" after a trick. I can land the board flip trick solidly, but going from flip to manual... Nope. No matter what I do, the final command to manual just won't take.
Please spare me any "skill issue" trolling. NS,S; this is the first game in the series I've ever played, and the controls are touchy af. It feels like if you don't get a trick pattern exactly perfect, it just nopes out on you and will barely extrapolate at all. And I completely agree with the other posters here: it is way too difficult to differentiate between going into a manual and prepping for an Ollie/boardflip. And I hear there may be a mission where you have to go back and forth between the two?! That's gonna be ridiculous as it currently stands!!! Please EA, give us a choice about what tutorial missions we do, and in what order. Honestly, I just wanna spend all my time in the skate parks, pools, and verts, I don't really care about lines and street skating.
I fully agree. Something is wrong with the games Handling and i am too cant hear anymore comments from 7 jear "old" about a Skill issue.^^
In the Story i stuck too at this "extended manual" and will never ever come back to that crappy mission. Man was it hard to do the first Land in a Manual.
But to land manuals after a trick? Impossible.
I also have trouble initiating manuals sometimes
