Physics aren't broken, the game is early access and its just going to be some time before its perfected. It does make it difficult at times but have patience 🙏
Yes, the physics are in fact broken on transition momentum specifically with regard to upward transition physics decreasing unnecessarily, and downward transition physics increasing unnecessarily. It's almost like there is some type of inversion bug.
I found adjusting my very pump assist multiple times til I found what feels right worked . Try changing it little by little until you get the right feel . Hope this helps
I played with the vert pump assist in every configuration. That is not what the issue was. It was a physics mechanic issue (I do this for a living, happy to share credentials privately). It has been refined since about three updates ago, but still needs a bit of work specifically with regard to upward momentum accuracy against assists or no assists, as well as when a player lands or the board ends up in a sideways / perpendicular position on a steep enough degree of slope, which should result in the board sliding with the player on it, or the player falling off the board.
