the best result if you've played the old games:
- use the triggers to grab instead of using the left stick
- turn vertical pump assist to 0 (this way you get MORE boost from manually pumping - there was no assist in the old games)
- half automatic pumping is a seperate setting which i keep ON because the timing mechanic is way more strict than the old games. makes vert and bowls way more enjoyable. might turn this off again if we get more boost from getting the timing right, as it is with vertical pump assist
on PC i get a bug sometimes where pumping doesn't work AT ALL until i restart the game. doesn't show up in the trick counter either. none of my console friends have experienced this.
