New issue: Graphics card crash upon launch

Lately, when i attempt to launch Skate, everything freezes, my screens turn off as if they are not receiving signals, graphics card lights turn off and back on as if it did a reset on itself, sometimes I am able to Alt Tab and get on Steam to end the game's process, other times I have to actually hard shut down my computer by holding down the power button.

ALSO... I understood that when the game first came out, launching it would be strange, with my windows re sizing, moving around, game setting me to 60 fps at 720P then finally realizing it is a 1440 165 FPS and eventually adjusts as it loads in the game but...WHY is it still happening. Game has had too many updates for it to launch horribly still.
