I don’t mind the pay 500 rip chips to get access for 24 hours but what could be fun is that you pay for a ticket to go and once you’re on the island you do a set of challenges to get a sponsor and if you don’t complete those challenges within 24 hours you will have to pay to go back to re do them, maybe you also only have 3 attempts every ticket you buy, with premium members you get unlimited attempts to give premium a benefit for being premium
once you completed the challenges you get to stay on the island for free for a week and each week you get 1-2 challenges to complete to get a sponsor and the longer you have a sponsor the higher tier you have so bronze silver gold for an example and let’s say bronze you gain 5 rip chips silver is 10 and gold is 15 as a bonus.
and with each tier you have a time limit so if you’re on gold and you don’t complete 1 weeks challenge you go back down to silver 2 weeks bronze and then 3 weeks you lose your bonus and you’ll have to pay 500 rip chips to go back to get your sponsor again, but if you go down from gold to bronze and then start doing the challenges again you’ll start going back up with each week you complete the challenges.
If you believe this would conflict with a different idea you have with sponsors then remember that skaters and many other sporting athletes like BMX and so on have multiple sponsors so you could have this sponsor as not as a skating brand but a drink brand, and with the stadium in brickswitch that could be a board sponsor brand, just so it doesn’t conflict with future ideas.
I believe this idea will promote the need to keep returning to the game which all games needs and wants people to do and i believe gives a fun aspect to it.
Love the idea of adding challenges to Grom Island, but that seems like a given.. however, making it so you earn more time there is not necessary. 500 RIP Chips is very easy to obtain. 24hrs is plenty time.. go, skate, come back to SanVan the next day.. skate a few challenges and go back to Grom. Simple. Easy. Not difficult to code, and or bug smash on the devs side. Also people need to consider the public announcements are not something we get to alter via pressure and suggestions. Those decisions are made with the higher ups. And without changes, that affect revenue for EA, the support gets pulled and the game sits still.. unchanging. Dies. And that's it.
For a FTP game this one is amazing. Not a bad idea on your end, maybe something they could add down the line I am sure. But its also not necessary from the get go, and would hurt their bottom line on making income from people who cant be bothered with earning chips to visit the island. Win win for everyone in the current state imo.
