Pc Controller is not working

I a PC player would like to play this game on the EA launcher, as i boot the game up it says i have to connect a controller, i do that with a USB cable, and it takes me to the "pick a character" section, i do that and it then tells me to go to the skate shop to get my board. As i try to walk nothing happens, i press every button imaginable and still, nothing happens. I reconnect the controller and even try a different controller, and nothing happens. I don't know if the EA launcher is buns, or if it is a known issue from the game. If it is, then please try to fiks that, and if its the EA launcher, then in not going to be able to play the game.
