“Skate”
This game started off really hopeful by everyone and the gaming community when it first came out like it was hyped asf But… less than 7K players it’s dead on arrival. and this is why if any of the devs are listening… The long battle pass grind. it should take like 5 tricks i should have half the battle pass done. that’s why fortnite makes so much money you can finish and unlock everything within a day to be honest. Another thing is the Fact our old battle passes are all incomplete… they also locked them behind another wall… with this new season i was hopeful it would be like better but nope. Sincerely someone who spent like 100$ on the game. about to delete it and play GTA 5 or halloween the game lolNeeds more actual skate lore
How the hell Don yall go backwards from skate 3 like dude the overall game play is good but the actual skate history is lost and its important to us that actually skate man we need coach frank back we need all the real skaters back instead of being cheap and not wanting to pay them yall should have just done it. Plus we need real famous skate spots real areas we all know and love we skaters miss that stuff from skate 3 so im being serolious dont even bother leaving early access if you dont wanna do this or just re release skate 3 cuz we would all but that and play it ina heart beat man I miss reda yelling at my player to get to work make board sales actual licensed skate gear that I could unlock not pay for i get yall greedy at ea but come on get it together its heartbreaking for the real skate community.Throwdowns Should Be Given The Block Party Treatment
Throwdowns should be given the Block Party treatment, if not incorporated into Block Parties entirely. The addition of S.K.A.T.E is highly anticipated and no doubt would be categorized under Throwdowns, which being the case would most likely make the mode doa or at the very least not played much. While it's always good giving players the freedom to play how and what they want, I feel like with the type of game Skate is, things kinda need to be forced onto people, and being that Throwdowns are these little party games that are heavily dependent on the player, they kinda get ignored. Throwdowns should either be added to the map and rotate between zones like Block Parties already do, or incorporated into Block Parties entirely. When S.K.A.T.E arrives I don't want to be unable to play it because I have to make a Throwdown and then sit and wait for people to join in, and my gut tells me that's exactly what's going to happen as that already happens with Skate Jam and Spot Battles. These multiplayer party games need to be better incorporated into the game to be more easily played.Where is everyone? Are servers dead?
Hello all, I started playing the game late July, enjoyed leveling up in San Van but spent most of my time in the XGames Stadium, as it was the only place where you could actually find a community feeling and have spot battles without the open world loading times taking up half of the round session time (this HAS to be fixed). The loading times overall made me turn off Crossplay (PS4 user here), which helped a little. Earlier, I was quite excited to check the S5 updates, but after spending a good amount of time clearing the new goals I kept noticing that the server never filled up as usual. Never more than 4 players, me included. Curiously, loading times felt better today, not sure if you worked on that for this update, but most likely it was due to the server being so empty. When I first logged in, I immediately went to check the new/old San Van Open Stadium (pretty disappointed that there are no spot battles) and it only had a couple of players, and after my objective clearing session it was actually empty. The times I regularly log in are pretty consistent and at these times I always find pretty much the same players roaming around in San Van but especially in the XGames Stadium, WITHOUT FAIL. Yes, there were always slow days, but never like what I experienced today. During my whole session I only encountered one of these regulars, who joined me for the saddest Block Party ever. I am a F2P player, as many of these regulars I usually encounter strike me as, due to the simplicity in their outfits and overall lack of premium material. I believe some actually might be paying users that have been in Sumr Camp taking advantage of the early access, but somehow I believe the majority was just so sad that XGames was gone so they didn't even bother to login. I will keep logging in the coming days to monitor their activity. I'll wait for Sumr Camp to eventually open up for all to explore and see if that's where they all went. I believe you really nailed it with the XGames layout. It had the perfect variety of skate/bowl/vert areas with spot battles all in the same closed off area to allow for quick challenge rotation and fast loading times. It surely kept a lot of people in there for hours and coming back for more. Adding such successful content to a game only to make it seasonal makes absolutely no sense. I understand if the contracts for use of XGames brand may have terminated, but the layout has got to be free to use. Rebrand it as Community Stadium or make it the new San Van Open, or make the both available perhaps? Also a good option would be to make it the interior of some other building, not necessarily the stadium, maybe an underground bunker-like location to make it easier and quicker to implement. But please, don't let it go to waste like this. You should also consider making it free access, as it will help keep the servers populated and keep being the community staple it was before. None of the community parks or street spots reach even close to it in terms of layout, feel and community presence. I know that most will agree with me. Thank you if you read through all this and I seriously hope you make the best decision here, in the interest of both the community and the success of this game. Peace out, lazenblazen93I have hated on this game so much
I am a day 1 hardcore skate player, I have not really enjoyed this game at all which has been a huge bummer for how much time I have put into the franchise and memories. Season 5.........This is one of the greatest updates I have ever experienced. CAMP BRINGS ME BACK TO WHAT SKATE IS SUPPOSED TO FEEL LIKE. THIS IS SKATE!!!! You can get rid of San Van altogether in my opinion, id scratch that whole base map and start over. Camp is so amazing, bravo dev team. Im playing this every day again. No HUD
Is it really that hard to just have a no HUD option? I don’t care about any notification at all in this game… I just want to skate. I’ve never played a game so hellbent on getting in the way of me playing it the way I want to. Let me just turn off every notification, every stupid icons, every other player and just skate….. why is that so hard for y’all to have as an option for people? Why do I HAVE to engage and get notifications for anything at all? Why won’t you just let me give you $80 and leave me alone and play in peace? Seriously why not just have that option?.. I will never purchase a single anything in this game so why not create an avenue where you can make some revenue off of players like me?
