Skate Crashes

I'm assuming that I'm not the only one experiencing this... 

• I successfully installed and loaded Skate.
• I'm at the starting point - walking to get my Skateboard at the skate shop
• I climb the wall
• The skateboard is hovering ready to be grabbed
• The game crashes.

This happens every time, at the exact same point in the game (she says something like "There she is. Your very first board, the key to the city... *CRASH*). Maybe they should call this game 'Walk' because that's all I can do. Same crash. Same place. Every. Single. Time.
 
No idea what the issue is (see screenshot of the error that pops up. Also, I can roam around that area before the skate shop with no issue.

UGH...

My computer specs:
i7-14700F (2.10 ghz)
32GB ram
2 TB SSD
RTX 5070 (12GB)


On another note, I just installed Battlefield 6 - no issues with that game at all, with the exception that I keep getting killed by a bunch of punks.
