skate. Feedback

Hey skate. team. I wanted to give some structured feedback because I think skate. is currently at a really important point.

The core gameplay is strong – movement, physics, and the map itself all feel really good. New content like tricks and areas is also a positive direction.

But from my perspective, the game is missing the most important part for long-term engagement: a clear multiplayer and competitive loop.

Right now the pattern often feels like:

a new season / area drops

you explore everything once

you complete the challenges

and then there’s not much reason to keep playing consistently

What a lot of long-time players of the series (including myself) are really missing are systems like:

matchmaking for quick, repeatable sessions

Spot Battles / Game of S.K.A.T.E.

small team modes (e.g. 3v3 / 4v4)

weekly or rotating challenges on specific spots

visible rankings or leaderboards

In Skate 3, a big part of the long-term motivation came from exactly these short, repeatable multiplayer loops and the competition around spots, lines, and sessions.

The open world in skate. is a great foundation, but it needs more structure to make players actually compete and engage with each other, rather than just skate side by side.

Right now it often feels more like a very good sandbox than a multiplayer game with long-term goals.

I don’t think the game necessarily needs more content – it needs better reasons to replay the content that already exists.

If even a lightweight version of these multiplayer systems were added, the entire map would immediately gain more value, similar to how iconic Skate 3 spots became long-term community hubs.

Thanks for reading – this is coming from someone who has played the series for years and genuinely wants skate. to succeed long-term.
