The core mechanics are lacking and there’s no story.

I was an avid skate fan from the beginning.  I played each of the games religiously as they came out. I loved skate 3 so much. 
this new “game” lacks everything that made me love the old games 

the movement is sluggish and clunky. It feels like they have gone backwards. The movement doesn’t flow well. It doesn’t give the same visceral satisfaction as the old games. 
It’s a sad sight to see. This is the purest form of En**bleep**tification. Focusing on monetizing instead of actually making an enjoyable experience. 
if they somehow smooth out the core movement and make the game about actually skating and give it a compelling story then maybe it could recreate a bit of the magic the old games had. In its current state it’s absolute trash.
