Unable to redeem code because of wrong region

Entered the provided code on ps5 only to get a message saying that it can not be redeemed in my region.

Any help is appreciated

One of two things
they mistakingly sent you a code for the wrong region
You accidently selected the wrong region while answering the survey
The only solution would be to create a new account and redeem the code there
