Withdrawing from skate jam causes bug where you are stuck using phone

I found that if you drop a skate jam, if you decide to withdraw, you will be stuck in an animation where you are looking at your phone. You can start moving again by placing down a new skate jam, but again, if you withdraw you will be stuck. Then completing the skate jam seems to make both players soft lock. I cannot interact with the UI on the screen with the controller nor the mouse. I can see other players moving, and watched the other person have to force quit.
