What system are you playing on? Also, do you use a wired or wireless connection?

I’m playing on a Xbox one s (with backwards compatibility) and I’m on a wireless internet, I’m aware that this is more unstable than a wired, but it has been working perfectly smooth for a long time and now its suddenly came up with this error message!

Yes and it’s still not working, sorry for the inconvenience.

Let's see if clearing your alternate MAC address will help. Please follow these steps:

Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Let me know if that makes a difference or not.

I assume you are trying to play on a different account than you're posting here with? It doesn't have an Xbox gamertag linked to it. 

I'm not super hopeful this will work, but it's worth trying. Possibly, using alternate DNS servers will help. From the Xbox One home screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4. Let me know what happens. Thanks!

Sorry man still not working! I had already tried public google DNS settings as I saw it on a YouTube video and I just tried the new one you gave me with still no luck! I’m sure it’s not EA’s fault, what do you recommend doing now?

I'm really sorry, but at this point, I don't know what else to suggest. I think you should try contacting @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/. You can also go to facebook.com/eahelphub to get in touch with support. So far, this is the only report I know of someone not being able to connect to the Skate 3 servers. It's possible this is account related, but we can't help with account issues through Answers HQ. An advisor can check that for you.

I have the exact same issue as this person. I’m on an Xbox One S, wireless connection and have done all of the above and still can’t connect to the EA servers.

When logging on Skate 3 it says :

“Connecting to EA Nation...”

Then says :

”Authenticating user...”

Then it says :

”The EA server is not available at this time. Please try again later”

It’s been like this for about 2 months now and is really frustrating.

How do I fix it?

Unfortunately, I never heard back on this. The only suggestions we have are in this thread. The Skate 3 servers are currently up and there are people playing on them.

Log in to your account at ea.com at the top right, unlink your Xbox one account, restart your console and game, then you will be able to connect. Just found this out and trying to post this everywhere.

I'm having the same problem on XBox 360.  I've gotten the same message since I bought the game a few months ago.  I can't see that I have any Xbox accounts linked to my EA account.

This worked perfectly for me, thanks man you’re a saviour, I really want to get all the achievements for my favourite game but I could only play offline. 

I think the trouble we’re having is our accounts were made with an age that wasn’t 18+ which causes issues trying to connect to EA servers for older games.
