I attempted to play Skate 3 online this morning only to get an error message that the skate servers were down. Reading through some of the threads in answer HQ from a few months ago it seemed like the multiplayer servers were still active and yet i still can't get online. Were the servers formally shut down finally?
I am able to confirm that servers for Skate 3 are up and running.
Now, you may have experienced a temporary issue maybe. It's just a guess because of the error message.
However is the issue persists, try these solutions: Unable to connect to skate online service
The share pack is missing on your game account.
Try redownloading and reinstalling Skate Share Pack (available for free in your console's store.)
This should resolve your issue.
My brother and I are attempting to play Skate 3 online but anytime we get near each other in game a "Waiting for players..." message comes up on the screen and freezes our game, sometimes for 5 seconds, other times permanently until one of us leaves the game. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? We both have the Share Pack downloaded and can get in a game with each other... but skating together is the hard part.
