Off-Board Social Mini-games to reduce player fatigue in skate.

Hello, Full Circle team!

First of all, thank you for all the amazing work on the physics and core gameplay of skate. The game feels incredible. However, as play sessions get longer, players often experience "finger and mental fatigue" from trying the same lines repeatedly.

To keep the community engaged during these downtime moments without leaving the game, we highly suggest introducing integrated, seamless "Off-Board" social activities. These wouldn't compete with skating, but rather enrich the street culture and lifestyle experience. Here are a few community-driven ideas:

Seamless Social Hubs (No Loading Screens): Instead of instanced areas like the Stadium, we need open-door local spots (like skate shops, arcades, or cafes) where we can walk in, hang out, and see the street action through the windows in real-time.

Plaza & Board Games: Interactive park benches where players can sit down to play quick, casual mini-games like Checkers or Chess with friends while resting.

Interactive Arcades & Street Sports: Introducing playable arcade machines inside shops, or simple streetball (basketball) mini-games on the city's courts.

Haters & Security Guards (Dynamic NPCs): Adding areas where security guards chase you, or angry NPCs ("Karens") try to film and stop you from skating, creating fun "escape" mini-games.

These activities should be free and accessible to everyone, acting as the perfect "chill-out" zones that make San Vansterdam feel like a truly living, breathing city.

Thanks for listening to the community!

Best regards,

Alexsander_Paz

    Hello AlexKickflipz

Thanks for taking the time to put together such a detailed and well-thought-out list of suggestions!

It's great to see you sharing ideas not only for the skating itself, but also for ways to make the world feel more alive and give players something fun to do between sessions.

Features like seamless social spaces, interactive activities, dynamic NPC encounters, and other off-board experiences are interesting concepts that could add to the overall atmosphere and sense of community.

While we can't guaranty that any specific suggestions will be implemented, feedback like yours is valuable and helps the team better understand what players would like to see in the future.

Thanks again for sharing your ideas with the community!

Thank you so much for the response, EA_Edu! It means a lot to see the team engaging with these suggestions.

I actually shared this proposal with the community on Discord, and the reception was amazing. A lot of players loved the idea of 'Love Park' style social plazas with chess or dominoes, and even having playable arcade cabinets in indoor spots to chill between sessions. Many also agreed that adding dynamic elements—like security guards patrolling or annoyed bystanders ('Karens') complaining and filming—especially in indoor spots or under-construction buildings, would add the perfect amount of street life and chaotic fun that the franchise is known for.

Really hoping to see some of these seamless, off-board activities and arcades make it into San Vansterdam. Thanks again for listening to our feedback!
