A way to go from dx12 to dx11 outside of the game?

I was fiddling with the graphic settings in-game last night and hit the dx12 slider which tanked my game. As I tried to get back in I would get stuck at the first splash screen with Rey, Darth Maul, ...

    Okay, I fixed it by deletign the Star Wars BF2 folder(s) under users documents, then repairing the game.

Another way is to go to \Documents\Star Wars Battlefront II\settings, open BootOptions with a text editor, and change GstRender.EnableDx12 1 to GstRender.EnableDx12 0

You Rock! This fixed it. I'm rolling with an Alienware Aurora R15 w/4090 RTX. Installed this game again for May 4th after playing it years ago.  I was like, wtf?
