IMHO Anakin's stamina feels poor only when massive strikes card is loaded....since it affects his strike AND blocking stamina. Also I think they nerfed him wrong when his strike dps went down but his saber strike speed animation stayed the same. And frankly the steamroll card isn't much of any help unless you manage to stay alive or a helpful Finn is around when your Ani has both massive strikes and steamroll card in modes like HvV/HS.
Also the series of saber strikes by likes of Luke, Obi and Rey are instant with a kick mixed in as a follow up while Ani has this weird ballerina spin move which takes too much time and very easy to dodge. And every other character has some sort of dash move while Ani has none. And none of the dash moves has any cost on stamina, so it can be used to recover stamina AND create distance from the enemy very quickly. Some may say use HM to stall, but since DR is broken, it's fairly risky move and likes of an experienced Iden/Kylo/Vader can punish him right after he comes out of the animation....same applies for retribution.
Anyway someone with a "chosen one" status, he's below average in my books. I can play carelessly with Vader in any mode but I can't even think of such with Ani at his current super bugged and nerfed state. IMHO he was in his best acceptable form when his massive strike card nerf and 4 sec retribution. Oh well lets see how he is in the next MP game of SW lore.
- 5 years ago@PsyEd2k4 I guess, I know his swing is really slow compared to most saber users. 0.1 swings/s slower than most.

@AnakinVader34 yes his OG(and still present) saber speed matched the OG dps and made them feel like he actually strikes really hard, hence all that damage coming from a Form V saber combat practitioner! But now, with massive strikes card, it feels like that his asthma is worse than Vader's!
@TRlALON I don't think I've seen any Ani players in 2021 have gone into any "rampage" in GA or HvV (CS don't count), unless heavily partied up & backed by his whole younoob followers, friends and family. IHMO any moderately adept Kylo or Vader can finish that Ani very quickly in GA. Gen G is harder to stop in GA but an adept Rey can stop him too.
Now I play Ani like a support character in HvV, only in HS I will load up steamroll/MS combo and in HvV, if I see a FINN is around. I still miss the old days where his pull actually brought the enemies to his knee's and DR worked for HM and R...not to mention the 4+ retribution
Good ol days of the chosen one 😢

@PsyEd2k4Why does CS not count? It's a normal part of the game, just as the other modes.
Independant from that, just equip the extra magnet dmg card for Anakin to one-hit many and if that's not enough, the middle ability to finish them off.
Only downside is that the entire playstyle of Anakin depends from waiting until the magnet has refreshed because the other abilities themselves aren't really useful.
Though once you use the magnet, your opponents should start praying. Even the pesky ommando droids or aerial troops which is why it's even fun to play as Anakin.
Else it's more enjoyable e.g. as Yoda because you basically never need to stop rushing.
You can do a lot as Anakin, but it requires patience. Which is quite ironic.

@PsyEd2k4The thing is, people can't really put up HvH because the game is not primarily balanced around this mode.
Like you said, it has only the base decrease when you use the lightsaber dmg card, just like Grievous.
With the difference that Grievous can recharge or escape just by using his abilities.
For greater modes I don't use any of the dmg cards for Grievous or Anakin because they can just go on a rampage and do one-hit kills with their abilities far more easily with the right cards.
For HvH I don't use Anakin's dmg card either because he has no such abilities that allow him to get out of combat in order to regenerate stamina in the meantime. So I go with the stamina card and drop the dmg card entirely, it really helps in prolonged combat. It's funny to make e.g. Maul players look dumb with it.
In doubt defensive cards are better for HvH imo because they can really help in critical situations and turn the tide while good offensive dmg stats are of little use when the opponent just decides to turtle behind his block/parry or dodges away and lag is not always going to help you.
I normally don't use stamina cards, but for Anakin I make an exception because of reasons named above and because the card increases both offensive and defensive stamina.
The same sometimes for Dooku and Luke, but that depends from how my opponents are playing.
- 5 years ago@TRlALON You will always want to for Luke, his stamina is completely useless without it. Dooku's is good so you can get away without finesse, but it still helps.
But run Luke with no stamina cards and you'll outlast no-one. Everyone will outlast and steamroll you - even Grievous.
