@chinnyreckon : This thread is not about the microtransactions. I could care less about that because it frankly doesn't effect me. I don't use it.
I have played and don't buy any crates, at all. I have not used the credits you earn to buy one single crate. All I did was unlock Vader and Luke and Iden (which is a waste of time since I never get to use them unless I play Hero's VS Villains). That's it. I am setting on about 18000 credits right now and nothing I care to use them for, because I dislike the forced multiplayer and all the other things I Have mentioned in previous posts.
Everything I unlocked was through completing the different types of challenges and getting their rewards.
All I really care about is being able to ENJOY the game I paid for. That means the Single Player campaign and being able to play the ENTIRE multiplayer experience against BOTS, not playing against other people and all the problems that creates for me (aka never being able to be a Hero/Villain).
Nothing to be sorry about @chinnyreckon. I just didn't want this thread derailing into yet another "pay to win" upset that is going around.
The issue of this thread/topic needs to be kept alive because imo it is more important than the microtransactions issue. The game can be played without using the purchased Crystals, which is disabled right now anyway. Not being able to play the entire multiplayer experience against bots is my main problem with this game, and why I don't play it much.
Last night I bit the bullet, dug up my old copy of SWBF2 2005 and installed it.
I bought BF1 back in 2015 when it was released, and then realised it had no real offline single player. I played it for 2 hours (thats what my Origin account says) then never looked at it gain. What a waste of money. I was really happy when EA said BF2 would cater for offline including a campaign. We got a short campaign and I am thankfull for that but after I finish that its probably gonna gather dust on the shelf. I want:
The entire multiplayer exerience offline
Single player against bots for all maps
Skirmish
All heros offline
Starfighter offline against bots
Split screen coop and duel for land based battles and starfighter
If you have anything to add to this list please cut and paste this list to your post and add your extras. That ways the list will grow and @EA_David who keeps an eye on these discussions will (hopefully) notice and pass them on to the powers that be.
