Battlefront 2 Error Code 573
TL;DR Error code 573, can't find a fix. Details below.
I am currently having issues playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 for PC.
Up until this morning, I have been able to play with more or less no issues, one being that I have to manually connect to the servers but that's fine. However, today, when I click connect as I usually have to, my game freezes temporarily, and I receive a popup saying:
"You need to update you game before you can play online. Please close the game and check for updates. Error code: 573"
I've done everything I can think of. I closed the game to check for updates. Turns out, this isn't a feature on the EA Desktop app, so I switched to offline mode, then back to online - no update available. I then went to the Origin app, where I couldn't actually use the app because there was an uncloseable pop-up telling me to install the EA Desktop app - so no go there.
I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. The issue persists.
I do have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which involves the EA play subscription. I figured maybe there's an issue with the payment method. There isn't. So, I tried to uninstall the Celebration upgrade (which I don't believe I actually own), but you cannot do this manually when you click Manage Add-Ons in the EA Desktop app.
I have tried everything I can think of, but to no avail. Is there a fix for this? I'd like to play the game...
