Battlefront 2 lag on xbox one with good connection

I had started playing again only around the Rey update after having bought the game ages ago and not really doing much besides the campaign. 

Upon revisiting the game i found the online community booming and the game to be entirely different from when i had last played (in a good way) 

After the bb8 update however, i have been experiencing inexplicable lag in every GA or CS game i try to play. Coop is also unplayable. I have checked all my network settings, i have hard reset my router, my xbox and even gone as far as speaking to my ISP about the issue, they assured me that my network is up to par to be able to have multiple players on this network. 

The lag specifically is movement based and is almost teleport like, where i will miraculously be back in the spot i was a few seconds ago, or way off in the distance where i was heading. Its been interesting to say the least

Please, please help me find a way to make multiplayer playable again. At the moment it is unbearable to watch my character run in place while i get shot from all sides... 

Tl;dr - really bad lag on xbox one with a very good unlimited bandwidth network connection. Been like this since BB8 update.
