Battlefront 2 Not saving any game settings or character cards

Battlefront 2 is not saving any data from my game, all cards reset from the characters, game settings (video, audio, gameplay) all reset everything I close & re open the game. I have tried numerous troubleshooting issues & still run into the same issue. I have reinstalled origin, reinstalled the game, disabled & re-enabled the cloud save data & yet I still run into the same issue. Can anybody help with this issue?

  • @MeIwinx make sure Origin is allowed to save in Document folder also that no program keep replacing the files in document such as One Drive.

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

This is normally related to SWBF2 having issues trying to write to the save files and is normally an issues with windows or another program stopping SWBF2 from writing to the save file. @General_Tarfful

Is there any method that helps me fix the problem? For now, when I had this issue, after joining into a match every card and modification applied instantly. But now, no matter what I do, doesn't matter how many times I restart the game, the problem still occurs.

Kind of upset because this glitch hasn't been fixed since 2017 November..

@Lightecold make sure that SWBF2 is approved in any anti-virus or firewall programs and that is allowed to read and write into the save files in windows.

    Hi All!

I was having same issue as I recently moved my games due from a corrupt HDD and the issue was that where the game was trying to creat the profile settings file was NOT directed properly on my PC.

Try this if you haven't already

Open up Your "My PC"  tab in explorer. Right click "Documents" then "properties" and click on the location tab.

Now change this to C:\Users\*Username*\Documents if its not already on this. I think if its directing you to D;/ E: or a drive that isnt C:drive that's the issue or at least it was for me

Its should give you a warning like are your sure you want to do it (and you may want to copy whats already in your documents folder too if you have to move them once redirected)

Boot game, save settings and it will actually then create the file within this drive.

This worked for me as the game ONLY will save file in that drive and no others (doesn't matter where the game install is)

Hope this helps if you haven't tried this already

This didn't fix the problem for me. To fix go to windows security settings and go to "Protection History" windows recognizes the folder as a virus for some reason and you just have to "Allow on device" and boom.
