Battlefront 2 PC crashes to desktop

I just picked this game up. Its fun. This game likes to crash a lot. That's not fun.
After about 5 or more minutes into a game, the game will freeze suddenly. I only have the ability to move the camera at this point. Then within a few seconds the game crashes to desktop.
I've tried every fix I have found online in an attempt to fix this.
Help me, EA community. You're my only hope.
