Battlefront 2 pc shuts off
I have seen a few threads about Star Wars Battlefront 2 shutting down people's computers. I've had the same issue and I think I've figured it out.
I turned on MSI Afterburner and noticed during loading screens my CPU temp would sky rocket to 100 degrees C, eventually causing my pc to turn off. Presumably to protect the hardware.
Lower grafics and resolution had no effect. All those great tips on the board had no effect. Then I limited the max fps. Hurray! The temperature stabilized!
I ran this on other games and had zero temperature issues with full fps. So, it's definitely a bug in Battlefront during the main menu and loading screens. So monitor your temperature and limit your fps until you get it just right.
What do you think EA? Your customers troubleshooting your products once again.

- It was cleaned out a couple months ago when I replaced the SSD. Here's an update though. I played the other day for 2 hours, @70C CPU, 60C GPU with no issues....(fun game). Yesterday, same temps....20mins and pop, off it goes. So now I'm out of tweaks, it's not temp or FPS afterall. Far cry and hitman run just dandy. I'll have to stick to those. Thanks guys for your help.
