Battlefront 2 PS4 Sub Accounts Can't Play Online

I have my kids setup as PS4 Sub Accounts (family members) who are teens but can't access online content for Battlefront 2.  But Battlefront 2 says they can't access the online content due to age rest...

@Botson24 I'm having the same problems and have age filtering set to off for my kid's child account and it's still failing. So that's not it. What i've been reading is that it may prevent you from doing this if you created your child's account with a birthday < 17 years of age. And PSN doesn't let you change your birthday unfortunately.

I got excited by @Botson24's suggestion because I original had age filtering on.  Turning it off, though, had no effect, the same as @dopey_originid's experience.

This an annoying feature to Battlefront II.
