Battlefront 2 stuck on launch screen

Whenever I try to launch the game, it gets stuck on this screen, and doesn't do anything. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling amd it still didn't help.

@DavidRudabaga Could you clear your Online and local saves for SWBF2 and then try to start the game up, that should work. 🙂

I went into Documents/STAR WARS Battlefront II/Settings/Boot Options and edited the first item GstRender.EnableDx12 1, changing the 1 to a 0 then it started fine

This worked to fix my issue, but suddenly the same problem has resurfaced in spite of the settings.

  You may have to do it again after updates. Make sure once it boots, go into settings and turn off direct x12 there. It should stick until the next update

    I can't even get to a boot screen; I click 'Play' and it runs the little "Starting Battlefront 2" screen, then the splash screen never appears and suddenly the game isn't trying to run anymore.
