Looks like the third reinstall has fixed the issue it took a couple of times but it seems to work now thanks for the response and help people was much appreciated
@tjshred have a scroll through answers hq you will see this is a know issue affecting a lot of players. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Information/Update-Ping-Site-Issues/m-p/6952137#M6796 this link will take you to EA's latest response. I suggest taking a look through the numerous topics on the same issue on the technical issues page as there are a number of different work arounds and troubleshooting tips that may help(I have copied some of them below). They don't necessarily work for everyone so good luck to ya.
