Solved

battlefront constant backward motion

Battlefront 2 player constantly moving backwards like a key is stuck, but I've unplugged everything one at a time, mouse , kb, controlller.   None seam responsible.

Disabled overlay.  Repaired.  Not an issue in other games.  Weird.

@DickHeadstrong Thanks for the details! Do you have Discord overlay by any chance running in the background?

  • Hey @DickHeadstrong, Hmmm. Its normally a controller or peripherals that's causing it.

    What Overlays did you disable?

Are you on Origin or Steam?

Hey, thanks for getting back to me so quick.

Yeah, It seems like it would have to be a controller or perph, but I unplugged them all (not at once).  This last week is my first time back on origin in probably a year and I've had a couple of other issues.

I just bought BF (BattleField) 1 and BattleFront 2.  Both of these and BattleFront 1 which I've had for a while were having problems staying in the game.  The mouse on screen would disappear and I would have no control of anything and the game would freeze.

If I hit alt/tab my mouse pops out of the screen, the game goes windowed and mostly resumes, until I click inside the window and it returns to a locked full screen, alt/tab repeat.

Kind of fixed by playing windowed but I shouldn't have to do that.  Only having the problem on Origin games.

Only disabled Origin overlay, I think it was the only one on.  And yes, I was playing on Origin.  Thanks

  • Although his issue was fixed, I have the same thing..

It's seeing my G29 pedals, and making my char walk forward, when I press the accelerator it goes backwards, if I half press it, I can stop it moving, and regain control..

However clearly this isn't ideal.. I see no option to disable it in the setting, I also see, this happened with SWBF, and was never fixed.. So I'm guessing, it's the same bug..

I know you're going to say "unplug them", before you say it.. I'll answer..  No, I should'nt have to, they are plugged into the back USB2 port, and it's not easy to get there, and there should be no need for it..

Can I edit an ini/cfg file somewhere to disable them?

    Thanks..
