Battlefront II High Cpu Usage

High CPU usage when i play Star Wars Battlefront II

I have I5 7500 Kabylake, GTX 1050 TI 4GB, 8GB RAM.

Sometimes the game crash my pc because, is using very hard my processor.

Game freezing in match or campaign and i don't know why.

It work smooth but you need to make an update for that CPU usage issue.

 I play the game on High/Ultra and sometimes on Medium to prevent the crashes.

    Hey Specttra, sorry to hear you've got these issues. 

    The Recommended PC specifications are as follows:

    • 64 bit Windows 10
    • AMD FX 8350 or Intel Core i7 6700
    • 16GB of RAM
    • AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
    • Direct X 11.1
    • 60 GB of Disk Space

    Your graphics card and processor fall slightly below the recommended specifications for this extremely demanding game, which might explain the high usage.

    Some tips for better performance:

    1. Ensure your processor and graphics card are appropriately cooled so they do not overheat and thermal throttle (slow down due to heat)
    2. Close any tasks you do not need open
    3. Turn down the graphical settings in game
    4. Install the latest drivers for your graphics card (here)
    5. Wait for an optimisation patch
    6. Reinstall the game (might not have any affect)

    Hi, interestingly I have recently upgraded my pc and am also getting very high CPU temperatures 80 to 90 degrees C. This starts just from loading the game and the maps. It is actually better when playing the game (makes no sense!). I'm running with i7 8700 processor, GTX 1080ti and 16gb RAM. other games run fine with the CPU at around 50 degrees C. Any help would be appreciated. The game used to run fine on my old laptop with significantly poorer hardware....

    try to play on low settings i play on low settings i have a laptop with intel core i7 7500 nvidia gtx950 4 gb ddr 2 and 4 gb ddr 4 i windows 10 pro edition and i play on low settings

    Hi, when actually playing the game, the temperatures are fine, the high temperatures come when the game loads up at the start or when loading maps.

    I did actually try setting everything to the lowest settings but I still have the same problem

    Hi, fixed the issue, it seems my motherboard/cpu has a function in the bios - multicore enhancement turned on by default. As far as I can tell this seems to be some kind of overclocking of the cpu which seems crazy to have this on as default. Anyway switched it off and everything is good!

    You need a good cooler. I also reached 90 C on stock clock 4-4.3 Ghz i7-4790K. Theh I installed Cooler Master V8 GTS and with OC to 4.7 Ghz the max temp is 77 C. With this OC, I reduced the stuttering significantly, but not 100%.
