@xProdicateYou have to admit though, the gameplay of BF2015 was cheesy as hell.I think that game just appeared less compressed skill gap wise because people with the better weapon and gadgets could easily wipe out everyone who doesn't have them.Between people of equal level it was just a game of who exploits more efficiently.Battlefront games are great if you want to roleplay some kind of superman in a multiplayer scenario and this is where the fun begins.The fact that mandatory 3rd person mode, treacherous minimap indicators and bunnyhop hipfire without any penalty are a thing in this game series originally was a real turn off for me.So if I want to stick to gunplay focused games, I'd rather play Battlefield as example.

@totommm I also don't want them to start over again. I want to see them build on the strides they made with this game. Also, who wants to go through another iteration of the same content? Just bring in all the heroes from this game at launch, add some new ones at launch, and use mostly new locations with a bigger, more scaled up version of Supremacy with Capital ship and ground battles happening at the same time. No Phases.They can use DLC to bring in locations from this game making totally new maps for the new large scale mode.Co-op, Ewok Hunt, GA, Extraction, and Blast could all return using cutouts of the new maps...just like Battlefield does with Rush and smaller game modes.

@TRlALON Well Battlefield seems to be on track for Fall 2021 according to their investor call. They expect a reveal in spring. Other comments said higher player counts than ever, all out vehicle warfare, larger maps than ever, and fully taking advantage of next generation hardware.

As much as I'd like to see a giant leap for the franchise, I think it would be best to have a more subtle progression for the sequel. One that would allow them to reuse and build on things from this game that fans really enjoyed. I'd like to see:64 player matches minimumFeature mode would be something like Titan Mode from Battlefield 2142: Battlefield 2142 Titan Tutorial - YouTubeMaps would be designed for this large mode first, with ability to use cutouts for GA, Blast, Extraction, Co-op, etc.The game would be muliti-era with even content per era at launch. That way DLC can just be in a natural rotation.I think 3 eras is fine since New Republic era hasn't got the locations yet to stand on its own. Age of Rebellion should include all content where the Empire is involved. 1.Umbara2. I want a system where heroes have different stats for each game mode. That way they can be enjoyable in ALL modes. The big problem with this game is that someone would complain about something, so they'd buff/nerf it. Then they'd complain that that change ruined something else and so on and so forth.a way where heroes were specially balanced in hero modes compared to trooper modes and vice-versa would be the biggest thing for me.

Awesome ideas, I get the impression BF3 needs to focus mainly on multiplayer with co-op mechanics instead of a dedicated campaign mode. I enjoyed the bf2 campaign but in contrast it felt like the devs had less time and resources to focus more on multiplayer modes.

Couldn't care if it was just a release date for the beginning of development
Just to know it was in the pipeline and going to get officially made would make me happy

Either one is fine by me since I made this thread long ago for those who want a Battlefront III game.
I think it would be better if Battlefront II had more updates after Battlefield 6 will be released but it's only my opinion.
If we get a Battlefront III instead, well so be it, but I would have wished a Battlefront II revival instead.
We'll see what happens after Battlefield 6 gets released.
