Can Origin and Steam Crossplay
Now that Battlefront 2 (2017) is on Steam, I was wondering if Origin players can also play against Steam players in the online pvp games

So yes, they can play together.
Steam X Microsoft X Epic Games playing together is often called "cross-play'' even by people, devs and websites. That's why he/she used the term, I think. Anyways...
Well, good to know that everything on Steam will be played in the same servers as in Origin.
