Can't find players/lobbies always empty Star wars Battlefront 2

Same problem, Im from South Africa too, since yesterday I haven't been able to play any game mode, ive tried reconnecting multiple times. In the past I was able to temporarily play a different game mode for a while then go back and was able to join an GA game mode. Now, just nothing...
I paid for the Deluxe edition, and for us south africans, thats a * ton of money. But I bought it because I love Star Wars and made sure that there are populated servers for SA before I bought. I should have known I would not get any good mileage with this game since the whole lootbox controversy exploded.
Also from South Africa, and yeah, since Tuesday been constantly getting empty lobbies across all game modes.
What is going on?
For South African players who can't find a lobby, another user on another thread suggested a work around which does work. Basically just change your ping site in your EA Account in Options to Germany (there is latency not great but it will have to do)
