Can't fire primary weapons

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have no idea, use our PS4?
What happens when the bug occurs? I press R2, and the guns will not fire. Other games work fine. Lightsaber heroes work fine. Star card modes work fine. This effects ALL Primary blaster weapons across heroes, troopers, reinforcements, etc.
What do you expect to see? my gun fire.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, no luck. This is not a controller nor connection issue, as lightsaber heroes are uneffected, and other games have 0 issues. Battlefront 2 is one of my favorite games, but this bug makes it entirely unplayable. This is a constant issue for any blaster unit, not something which comes and goes. Only 1/10 button presses will fire the gun, sometimes even less often. It started after the August update. We hoped the September update would fix it but it's only gotten worse.
