Encountered it.
Will try the F2 and the open box idea, and as last resort, the detonators.
This really broke my game flow and my fun momentum at once.
The issue was that the right mouse button and the left will not work at the same time apparently for me on PC.
Using the numpad0 (fire key) did lock the orbital strike on the aim and i finally got it to go.
