can't type in the chat

I open the chat box but I can't type anything. I did however send a blank message by pressing enter a lot but when I try to type anything, nothing happens.

    I tried a solution I found online about Battlefield and I figured it might work, and it did! In C:\Users\"user_name"\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II\settings I deleted the file named "ProfileOptions_profile". It works fine now.
