Hey @felker_s,
I'm sorry to hear about that, there is nothing worse than not being able to play a game you love. We've made progress on this front on some of our games but I agree with you that it's not where it should be for everyone. One of our heroes @Freggi-Liz did some amazing work on this actually and even put together an entire article on this:
http://www.alien-bommel.com/wordpress/2017/05/25/colorblindness-mode-for-battlefield-1/
Although it's for Battlefield 1 it should be just as useful for you. It's a quick guide on how to optimize your color settings for Nvidia.
Let us know how you get on and if this helps and once again I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by this.
Thanks,
Roger.

Sorry for not specifying, I'm an XOne player, so these don't really help me. But thank you for the responses anyway! They might help those who have the same problems on the PC version.
Things are not that bad on the default mode, but on many occasions it is really hard for me to see the red colour on the minimap radar. This is mostly on maps that have bright spots on the ground (Kamino, Tatooine), so it may be difficult even for those who see colours normally.
It is also a bit difficult to notice the little red arrows in starfighter assault, but I conditioned myself more or less to focus on them.

@felker_s Hi,
I hope i can help you a little bit. The xbox one has a small colorblind mode (CB mode).
You can adjust the color depth to light or dark. Go to Start ▶️ Options ▶️ Video
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/adjust-display-settings
If it does not help, please let me know.
And great thanks @EA_Roger 👍🙂

@Freggi-Liz
Thank you for the suggestion, but I've already looked at my options there, no tweaking seems to help in this case.

I have the same issue. The color blind modes don't change the squad colors at all so if you spawn with others they end up looking like the enemy to someone with color deficiencies. I never had this problem with the first Battlefront since you were not spawning with 3 or 4 other players who had a different color than the rest of your team. This makes multiplayer almost impossible for me to play. If I had the option to not spawn with a squad or to select my own colors for teams and squad that would be ideal.

I agree. If there was a way to make an option for colors like black, red, yellow and blue that would be great!

Unfortunately, the solution provided by messing with the colour setting totally bypasses the fundamental problem with colourblind modes; colourblind people have trouble perceiving/not perceiving either red, green or blue. This means that any other colour which contains the problem colour is also difficult to differentiate from other colours.
For example, someone who struggles to see green will also have trouble differentiating yellow, brown, red and orange. Colourblind people tend to notice contrast a lot more. A dark yellow could look like orange, red, green or brown as could a light yellow. However, we can easily spot the difference between a dark yellow and a light yellow if the level of contrast is high enough.
Everyday, colourblind people have to work hard to identify the colours of object in the real world. We do this by associating shapes and context with colours. We know a Fire Engine is red, so if we see a Fire Engine, we can say it is red; not because we can spot the red colour instantly, but because we expect a Fire Engine to be red. The upshot of all this is that we often have to rely more on the shape and context of objects to determine their colour rather than actually 'seeing' the colour.The best solution by far for colourblind people is actually quite simple, and is likely to help people with normal colour vision as well.
1. Custom Colours. Self explanatory; we choose the colour which to us, have the most obvious differences.2. Shape. The circle, triangle and square are reasonably easy to differentiate. However, to make the most of the difference in shape and custom colours, the final option MUST be included.
3. Outline colour and Fill colour. This is such a simple solution but always overlooked due to the ignorance of how colourblind people interpret the world around them. A blue circle with a yellow outline is easy to differentiate from a yellow square with red outline.
When you can only see two out of the three colours that most people can perceive (and of course, this is due to the way our eyes 'fudge' the colours we see. We can only see red, green and blue, not the whole colour spectrum. Our perception of colours such as purple and brown is determined by the levels of red, green and blue we see; we can't actually see purple or brown) you're always missing out on one third of the colour information in any colour we see. Therefore, we can say that colourblind people don't struggle with one colour, but we actually struggle with all colours. For example, I cannot see green, but, unexpectedly, I also struggle to differentiate purple from blue. Also, due to the additive light model that is used to display colours on a video monitor, a colourblind person will often see more white. For example, if red, green and blue light are combined at the same intensity, we all see white. However, as I cannot see green, it also means that any colour which uses green in the mix will also be problematic, such as cyan and yellow. Even more surprising is the fact that because we see only red and blue, we have only two reference colours which means that we often mistake purple for blue or red.
If colourblind solutions were as simple as the solutions offered in video games, then a simple filter in a contact lens would solve all our problems. However, that's not how colourblindness works. You cannot ever make up for the fact that us colourblind people can only really perceive two out of the three primary colours. Simply shifting the colour palette will just give more colours that we struggle to differentiate.
Yet the solution in video games is, as I've outlined, quite simple.

Also, please note that any colourblind mode should not interfere with the main graphics like it does in Overwatch, because changing the whole palette for the whole game (not just the HUD, menu's, icons etc...) makes the whole game look nothing like we'd see in real life. That solution is no better than just turning all the colours down and playing in monochrome.
Also note that, RGB additive colours do not produce the whole colour spectrum, which again imposes further limits on what a colourblind person can perceive on a RGB monitor/TV/display.
Thanks.
