Controller aim suddenly moves/twitches around

I started experiencing a similar problem since the Han Solo patch, though I suspect this was happening earlier.  It is easy to initially mark it up to a controller malfunction.  But I am having this with new, fully charged controllers.  As the reporter says, it usually happens early, especially when spawning in.  But I've had it when first switching to star fighters during Galactic Assault, later in the board.  Tonight (June 24th), it happened spawning into Kashyyk as a droid sniper.  I would move forward onto the beach and I suddenly started going backward, almost like I was walking into a misplaced collider.  This happened three times in a row, then I suddenly gained normal control again.  My friend had the same problem a moment later.  Usually though, it is more subtle, with motion that is less perceptible, but when using the sniper class, where precise aim is critical, the aim will just drift upwards on its own, even if I'm not touching the stick, then if I try to adjust, it suddenly lurches in the opposite direction.  With the vehicles, it is similar, but it becomes difficult to control them, as if someone changed my advanced flight controls (but those settings remain on), and as if a force is pulling my vehicle hard to the left or right, so that instead of being able to maneuver normally, I'm trying constantly not to be pulled the wrong way.  It feels like I'm fighting the controller or steering the ship through molasses.

I have another friend I play with frequently, and he constantly is changing controllers over this issue.  He experiences it constantly, like several times a night across multiple Galactic Assault boards.  His issue sounds very much like the original reporter, where he moves hard left or right on its own, or the controls suddenly reverse.  If it matters he has a PS4, and I have a PS4 Pro, so were wondering if while we both may have the issue, he might have it worse because his machine is slower and therefore the event stream from the controller is affected worse, where my machine is able to catch up and not impact me as badly.  In any case, there is definitely a glitch is the control system, but it's intermittent and I bet a large number of people chalk it up to simply a glitch in the hardware or low-battery, which is what I often thought.
