Crashing at sign screen

Sunday morning I was playing BF2 for a few hours with no issues. Went to get back on after dinner and heard a loud screech noise, the game crashed, and I have not been able to sign into the game since.

Every time I attempt to sign in, the game crashes and sends me back to the Xbox dashboard. I’ve tried just about every work around I can find online, but maybe I’m missing something. 

This same exact issue I’m having was reported by DragonLancer0 a couple weeks ago and their post goes much further into detail. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and has figured out a fix for it.

    @ccogs11, hmm, that's very unfortunate to hear. I really wonder what that 'loud screech noise' could have been. Just wondering; do you have the game on disc, or digital?

    @EA_Leeuw I wish I knew as well. It definitely made me jump when it happened haha.

    I have it digitally. If we can’t figure out what the problem is, then it is what it is. Regardless, you’ve still been very helpful and it’s greatly appreciated!

    But I don't give up that easily... 😉 

    What you heard could very well have been some sort of coil whine, but rather than it being a loud pitched continuous noise, it was a loud burst of high pitched noise.

    It is possible that it's a hardware related issue... Although I surely hope its not!

    May I ask, are you playing the game in 4K, or do you have a 4K tv connected to your Xbox Series S?
