Game: Star Wars Battlefront 2 (Trial)

Crash: While playing Multiplayer Online or Multiplayer Arcade computer monitor goes black and computer restarts

Unbelievably, after having this issue for a good month or two, I have solved it I think after a chat on EA help centre with an EA Rep. My specific issue was crashing to desktop trying to load specific Starfighter Assault maps - all other game modes and maps worked fine.
My steps below (I was having the exact same issue as the OP):
- Carried out a repair of the game (Game Library - Settings - Repair).
- Downloaded the latest AMD Radeon driver, a new version was just released (18.3.1).
- Downloaded ccleaner and ran as per the advice from EA here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/
- Restarted my PC.
- Changed my in game graphics settings to "High" (they were on "Auto")
I've just played a good hour or so on Starfighter Assault on all the maps that had previously crashed straight to desktop (Unknown Regions/D'Qar/Endor) as well as the others without hitch.
I'm not sure which of the steps solved it, but strongly suspect that it was an AMD driver issue, or possible registry fragment clashes.
