I experience random crashing in both single-player and multi-player. There is no error message, the game simply closes. However, it appears that crash dump files are generated; I can provide them o...
Hey @DokkenFrosst thanks for the Dxdiag. I 100% get that you are frustrate and want this to work for you.
I took a look on that Dxdiag CPU is under minimum requirements and GPU is just on he minimum mark, it still should be playable.
Have you done any form of troubleshooting?
This is what I can start to recommend that you try out:
I hope this helps! 🙂

help me plz
I am pretty sure this is a Frostbite engine issue. Battlefield 1 does the same thing. Today, I did notice when Battlefield 1 crashed that pagefile usage (as reported in Afterburner) jump significantly to over 15GB and then the game crashed with the memory access violation.
thx you, but i do not know what can i do something
Eric, wait for EA/DICE to actually acknowledge the issue and release a patch. However, we know how these guys are... EDIT: For the issue that I was talking about. If your whole PC is crashing it is likely a hardware issue on your end.
Been away for a bit from the forums. The last 5 days have been really stable. Maybe 3 crashes in over 10+ hours of game play. Tonight? 4 in the last 30 minutes. It is exasperating! What can be done? I am 100% positive that it is EA's servers. No doubt. Why would it be stable then turn into a * shoot? I just don't get it. Let's see what breaks on Weds with update.
OMG I thought I was the only one who have this problem... Even try to reset my PC (reinstalling windows).. 1st day after reinstalling windows, I can play 10 games++ without crash. Then tomorrow after that, it begin to crash again, I'd be lucky to survive even 2 games in a row without crashing to desktop without any message. The only thing I did between day one and day two, is installing Chrome browser, and Opera browser on day 2.... Maybe something on the browser triggered it ? Let me try uninstall those then reported back.
Edited: Yup.. It's the browser... For me you can't open a browser when you playing it, then the crash will not happen, or you can disable desktop notification on your browser (could still be coincidence, need more experiment). I don't know if this solution works for the others though.
Thought maybe they would have fixed the issue with their patch... My God why would I think that, this is EA we are talking about.
What happened to Battlfront 2 after the last upgrade, I can only play Blast if I start playing other boards after a few seconds play, game crash and return to the desktop. It was not until the last update 2.01. Please help and advise
For me it (Patch 2.01) caused a problem. Everytime I try to launch the game it loads, and starts optimising shaders. But then it stops, around 55-60 % through (almost every time, sometimes before that, and occasionally after it), freezes for a few seconds, then shuts down to desktop. I did not have any problems playing this morning, apart from the fact that my computer takes forever to optimise the shaders on new maps.
I know my computer isn't the best for Battlefront 2, but I have been playing pretty much since launch with just some lag a need to lower the graphics a lot. I've tried disabling Dx12, but then it doesn't even start optimising shaders and then just stops loading.
This update did nothing. Still cant play since 1.2 release: launching exe, game window opens for 5-7 sec and then client just crashing without any errors.

I was having the random crash to desktop issue. I tried a clean install of Windows 7 followed by a clean install of Windows 10 but the issue remained. If I try to run the game in full screen or border less windowed modes it will randomly crash. If I run the game in windowed mode it seems to have stopped the issue. While playing, I occasionally hear the Windows 10 chime and wonder if something in my hardware setup is not playing nice with the game.( Keyboard, mouse, etc). I guess the main thing is I wanted to share with other players whats working for me. Hopefully this might help someone.
SO I have been away from forums for about 2 weeks. I've had minimal crashes to desktop. Now I'm back to 5 tonight in about 2 hours . It is unbelievable. It has to be EA's servers. What else can it be? I have top notch internet and decent rig. Why do I go 2 weeks of barely any problems(1 a night is good for my normal 5+) to now back? I just don't get it. #NotBitter #StartingtogetBitter
While it did help to run the game in a windowed mode it started to randomly crash to desktop again. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and it showed my RAM was fine. I have two 8GB DIMMS so I decided to test each one by running them solo and see if I could determine if the crash was tied to one of the DIMMS. I found that either one seemed to crash just the same. When I reinstalled the second DIMM my computer failed to start and gave me a "Overclocking failed" message. I don't overclock because its caused too many headaches in the past. I noticed in my motherboards UEFI (graphical BIOS) that "Optimal Performance" was selected instead of "Normal" or "Power Saving". I checked and sure enough that setting was doing some overclocking. I changed it back to "Normal" but had an issue were my motherboard doesn't like the second DIMM(maybe bad? Need to test more aka flip flop them). I have been running with one 8GB stick without any issues tonight. I think I will wait a few days before I say 100% it was the cause.
7 lag out dc's to desktop tonight in an hour. It is so brutal. If it's my comp @EA_Atic why can I go 2 weeks with no problems? It makes no sense. I run repair, reset, change all suggestions. Tonight the lag is brutal. First 2 mins so much stutter. Finally start playing. Crash crash crash. This game.
I have the same problem. The game crashing to the desktop without any message. To day i completely installed my pc new and the game crashed in the first game after install. SO IT IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM OF THE GAME: EA FIX IT! IM SICK OF IT!
Hi I am having same issue tried tons of fixes. Have you found a fix to the problem yet? If so could you share with me please.
