I am having a similar problem here. Getting this exact same error message when trying to start SWBF2.
I have an AMD Radeon HD 8650G, but I also have AMD Radeon(TM) HD 8970M (2GB) with updated drivers from AMD's latest release. I should be able to play this game, but the game doesn't seem to detect my high performance card.
Run environment is Windows 10 64 bit with current update
16 Gigs of RAM
AMD A10-5750M with Radeon(tm) HD graphics quad core processors
Any ideas or help would be appreciated? I have already tried modifying placing the BootOptions file and disabling DirectX 12, changing screen resolution, and other such efforts with the configuration file.
Running the game through origin. Any ideas out there?
P.S. Switchable graphics is already set for the game and Origin to use my high performance GPU, I have tried running both as Admin and not, and a number of other things, nothing seems to work.
