OK, so I did what someone else said (sorry can't remember who!)
Only they did it on Xbox - I'm on PS4.
I made my (PS+ paying) account the 'primary one'
Found in [Settings] > [PlayStation Network/Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4].
Then I went an created a new account (needed another email - but I had a spare/left over one).
Played the game on the new account. So far no problems with duplicate credits (yes, I already got some!)
Of course the pain is that you have to start all over again from scratch.
Which sucks as with my other account I have all the characters etc unlocked, as well as guns + mods.
Not to mention the star cards and the time spent playing.
But, it seems the only way to get round this bug at the moment.
So it can, kinda (and that's a big kinda) be fixed.
And with no real help from EA - and none coming (I doubt they'll ever fix this) - sadly seems to be the only real way to do so (if your really desperate!)
