Heroes: Strongly disagree, multiplayer should reward skill. That random drop was the worst mechanic in the first game, for one, people could just camp it out. But what's worse is when totally bad players take the hero role, get destroyed in a minute, then the whole team has to wait for another drop for a long time.
Also, in BF2, you have to be pretty damn bad if you can't get enough BP for a hero/hero ship during a whole match. It is highly unlikely that anyone can stay alive for a whole match as a hero, and even if they do, there are two slots, and it even extends to four in the final phase. This was their best decision, and the game actually rewards playing the objective and teamplay (though that's ironic since the squad system is a useless mess). Also, you can always swap in a bounty hunter card if you really feel behind.
Hero ships die like flies, the small ones have some advantage because they are harder to notice, but the Falcon/Slave I "gameplay" is mostly 2 minutes of constant damage taking, 2-3 people always gang up on these big slow ships (also, why is the Falcon, fastest ship in the galaxy, slow as hell?) and destroy them in no time.
Factions: I agree that this TLJ season doesn't make much sense, nor does it have any depth. But cross-era already destroys any immersion anyway, I feel like playing some early beta ever since it launched.
Credit caps: This is a multiplayer game, there is no reason why they should let you unlock multiplayer stuff offline. Never understood this argument.
Legacy: No arguments here, there were some pretty dope maps. Also, more variation is needed, it's good that we have more planets, but only one map per planet is a joke.
And You cannot camp a spot out when you're flying. there is no ship that hovers. Sounds like YOU couldn't get the ships before and now others can't, so you like this system more.
It's pretty easy to be shot down a lot and end up with about 1000 bp or less for an entire match. and heroes are like 3000, which is a greed move in my opinion and a waste of credits when they have made the game entirely ABOUT them. So now we have to spend the very thing that helps us advance our characters if we want to use heroes. Sounds pretty stupid on an epic level to me, but there will always be someone who likes a thing. take Trump supporters, for example. Can't account for stupidity.
Cross-era is cool, giving people a way to play with characters and in familiar locations that they normally wouldn't. But they did a terrible job in implementing it, obviously.
Personally I'm not interested at all in working to get the heroes when it's about credits, -because having the whole credits thing makes it painfully obvious that the game was set up to be pay-forever to advance- or anything else in game, or that matter. It ruins the whole thing for me. And I'm sure that I'm not the only one.
Why unlock multiplayer stuff offline? Your argument is invalid. A. because this game HAS offline content AND character advancement. And B. because the whole credit thing is BS anyway. Any other game, characters advance by XP. (experience... you know... the more stuff you do, the more you advance? Not the more you SPEND?) and there is both offline and online material, so it should work both ways. Doing it the way they are, is the obvious pay to win model, which they've supposedly gotten rid of. Yet, here's the limit, slapping you in the face so you'll want to buy crates, only you can't anymore. So, why not just remove the limit?

Next time when you sink so low that you try to personally insult me, at least type my name correctly. But at least we have the whole package here! Comparing bullying to a completely unrelated competitive system (which known competitive system rewards the losing competitors, if I might ask?), making it about me being bad (seriously, how did this make any sense in your mind?), and yes, we have politics, you always gotta mention that!
Anyway, I don't even think you understand what you're saying though, and I'll only mention this one, since it might actually help you clear up some things: ". . . now we have to spend the very thing that helps us advance our characters if we want to use heroes." What? Battle Points have nothing to do with your advancement, not directly, at least. You are not spending your score, you are not spending credits - Battle Points only serve the function of spawning as reinforcements.
- 8 years agoWas a joke, Feller. Try not to be so sensitive, eh?
And Credits you receive for a match are directly tied to battle points earned, among other things. lol- 8 years ago
@LiviaD34D
Still dead wrong on that. Credits are somewhat tied to your score (being in the top five earns you extra since some random update), but otherwise it's just time spent ingame. It was only in the first Battlefront where the earnings came directly from the score (10% of it). But even if it were so - battle points are not your score. Sure, related, but spending battle points will in no way hinder your credit earnings, nor will it earn you more if you have insane amounts of it. Still can't spell my name though.
