Whats the issue?  This problem looks to be quite old, has anyone found the cause? What can i do to fix it?

i just started getting it too. maybe it's happening to EA servers?

    Same here in Mexico, I was playing a mach and I get the error 1017

        The origonal reason this error arose was a DOS attack(denial of service) against EA's servers some time ago.  I wonder what went on this time.
