EA support won't help, so I'll do it. It is a bit exploity, but if you give your kids permission to play, they should be able to. EA are not their parents. I did this on Xbox One, but it should work on the PS4 if you just do kind of the same thing. I dunno, I don't own one.
I resolved the issue by making an alt account. It's free, and your gold carries over, but it takes some time.
First, make a new email account for your child. Make sure it is over 18. I used Gmail but whatever you want.
Next, Make a new account through Snap (what happens when you go on the xbox button) by signing out and make a new account. Not a guest. Then when it asks for the email, provide the one you made before (the over 18 one) and If you're worried about your child buying things without your permission, make your sercurity setting lock it down, and keep your passkey a secret. This means they will need your permission to play, but it works well if it is a console for the whole family. Your child may need to re-add all their friends, and their Gamerscore will be different. You progress for other games will be separate, since the console classes this as a separate person, but if you want to play a different game just sign out.
A word of warning:
Make sure your child is in a party chat, even by themselves, before playing, as otherwise they are automatically slated for voice chat, where if there is other people there is no limit to how vulgar they want to be.
The game is fairly unbalanced, like on certain maps it is certain one team will win, so they may get angry.
I'm really sorry if this was a bit patronising, but I don't know how much you guys know.
Again, I don't know much about how PS4 works, but I am fairly sure it is roughly the same concept.
Good luck 🙂
