I was also having issues with the epic version. I had tried pretty much everything listed I could find with no solution. Then I unplugged my Ethernet and when playing on WiFi had no issues. Switched to a new deco mesh set up and can now play on Ethernet or WiFi so my issue has been localized to my previous router or modem. I was using a Nighthawk R6700v3. I had no issues with other games but for some reason Battlefront didn’t like it.

  • I have encountered this error in these 2 days. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have as well.  Set up the EA and Battlefront ports, reset modem and router, changed server location, repairing install, etc.  No fix.  This is the only game I have connection issues with.   Most of the time will be disconnected before a match loads in.  If I'm lucky enough to get into a game it normally only lasts a few minutes and then get kicked.  Same 201 error every time.

  • After playing any round of multiplayer, leaving matchmaking to go to the main menu, and joining another match I'll get booted to the main menu with an error code 201. Everything I've seen suggests that EC 201 is a connection problem on my, or my ISPs, end. And normally I'd agree, but... every time I leave a match?

So is there anything I'm overlooking or will I have to just accept that I need to close the game any time I return to the main menu after a match?

  • I have Battle front 2 on Epic games/PC and whenever I try to queue for a multiplayer match I get the 201 error. Sometimes after I reset my PC I will be able to play one game and then when I queue for another the 201 error kicks me to the title screen. I know that my connection is not the problem and I have contacted the help center 3 different times. I have seen other people with this error on the forums and on YouTube but they also have no solution. Is there anything I can do or is it a problem with EA servers? @EA_Atic

  • I am also experiencing this same issue in SW Squadrons.

Happens in both an origin version of the game and Steam.

No issues on my PS4 version.

Previously, clearing the Origin Cache solved this. However this fix no longer works and I have the error every time I try queuing for a second game/try a custom server.

Other short term fixes have been a full reinstall.

The only thing that appears to work is forcing a disconnect to EA and reconnecting. This allows me to get one game in.
