There were some unnecessary changes to the disruptor shot with the Geonosis update. Many players are confused and melee when they want to fire. Also, there was no mention about this change in the patch notes.
Saw this yesterday when playing Kashyyyk. Picked up a disruptor and when I went to fire, I was meleeing. Thought I was hitting something weird but got killed right away. Picked up another one, same issue. I play on XB1, the normal mechanic is pressing and holding the left trigger to bring up the aiming window, then pressing and holding the right trigger to activate the firing sequence. When I was doing it yesterday, I would bring up the aiming window just fine, but every time I pressed the right trigger to fire, I would melee instead.
What is the new mechanic?
