Again sorry for short messages, on my mobile
No worries!
I haven't been able to try a DX12 fix yet because I don't have a settings folder or its files and I also haven't been able to launch the game yet.
Almost definitely no power issues here - I upgraded my PSU to a 700 watt unit a couple weeks ago. I also have both my Nvidia Global and Application settings set to "Prefer Maximum Performance," i.e., maximum power draw.

Well since help seem to simply be leading me round in circles I thought I might throw my system into the ring here.
Tried run as admin (both apps)
Tried Origin cache clear
Tried browser clearing
Tried registry check/temp file sweep via ccleaner
Tried repair after moving the BFII docs folder
I will try a reinstall in the mean time but not holding out hope at this point really.
- 8 years agoThe power options things is settings - check the link and text I posted above - regarding the dx12 files try askimg in general in forums, the forums seem pretty active, also maybe make a new topic in answers tech asking for the files for dx12 solution?
I wish I had the answers :P- 8 years ago
Any EA reps want to chime in? Is this being looked at?

So after 16 hours with (largely unhelpful) support, I went and blasted through the 100+ windows updates I didn't take for ages. The one you want is an "optional" update called "Platform Update for Windows." in my case it is for windows 7 and is tagged (KB2670838).
This is a direct X issue. Where 9 was a separate piece of software and updated as such, DX11 and 12 are part of windows so need to go through windows updates. Solved my problem (at my own suggestion to them).
I cannot answer for your DX12 issues but it might stem from the same place.
