Game does not launch (PC/Origin)

I click "Play" and get a cursor with a moving circle for about 3 seconds. That's all that happens. The Play button is grayed out for those three seconds, but then I can click it again.

I was able to launch the beta back in the Summer.

I get no errors, no feedback whatsoever as to why the game refuses to launch.

    After hours of fiddling with logs etc, turns out I had to re-install Origin ... even though it kept saying mine was up to date turns out it was 2 versions behind! ... uninstalled the old one, downloaded a fresh one from origin (even the new UI is different that's how old mine was).

    Game launches fine now, did not have to re-install any of my games even though they are on a different hard drive.

    I same problem.  I bought star wars Battlefront 2. On Cyber Monday.  worked good except the lag. ingame decided to turn to directX 12. see if that helps the lag. ever since I  did that game keeps crash.I'm trying to get back Direct 11 enable again. but I can't get into the game change it.  I have window 10 fall update.  How to enable on windows.  DrictX 11.
