Game Not Launching
I click play, origin minimizes and a few seconds later origin comes up with no game loaded. I've tried repairing and deleting the document folder. Any Ideas? My pc has the specs to run the game good...
What worked for me was to launch Origin itself as admin and then I can run the game 🙂

Hi all,
Sorry to see you're having troubles. Could you run an Origin Error Report and post the Report ID in this thread? Here's how you do that:
https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/how-to-use-origin-error-reporting/
It will help us see what's going on.
Thank you,
Well it's working now, so that wouldn't really help anyone.
What I'm guessing it was is that during one of the more recent updates, they updated BattleEye (or whatever anti-cheat they're using) but it needed to run as admin at least once to finish it's setup, and launching the game as admin doesn't launch the anti-cheat as admin, as Origin is what launches it.
Granted, this is all a guess, but the "Origin as Admin and launch game once" worked, and might be worth giving out as a possible fix on situations like this where games don't launch.

This is happening to me EVERY DAY now. It's absolutely infuriating. Many different things will "fix" it, never the same. I suspect it may have something to do with Origin's cloud sync service, as just now when I launched Origin and the game for the first time today it of course failed, tried several times then got the "your latest cloud storage data may not be available" error, which refused to go away.
Will someone at Dice/EA please look at Origin as the culprit here, and stop asking for our DXDiag's? It's pointless looking at user's pc for this issue when given the massive variety in computer hardware out there and the one thing we all have in common is we have to rely on Origin to play the damn game.

i dont use cloud storage at all. i have it turned off, so why is it affecting me? i dont and wont use it, because one day someone will take it down - either EA deciding they cant afford to run cloud servers for saves, and any game without ability to save locally will be stuffed, or some hacker will take it down the one day you have time to play, and leave you unable to play.
if cloud has something to do with it, origins settings are not working. it shouldnt even be checking for the cloud if you have cloud disabled.
there must be more than one bug; because i got battfront working more often when i ran origin as admin. im guessing that kinda deals with one bug without fixing it, but there must be at least two others because it means the game wont run 40% of the time rather than 95% or whatever
Oh look. Logic just shot itself in the face!
I think I've found a temporary fix for anyone who is still having problems, not sure why this works but it may be only for me.
Basically every time I was exiting Battlefront 2 I was using ALT+F4 because I couldn't be bothered to wait for loading screens to take me back to the menu.
So I after I had finished a game and wanted to quit, I navigated back to the menu and hit the quit button as normal.
Next time I tried launching the game, no problems.
Tried this multiple times and seems to work, still a bit of a pain though.
Here is my error report ID if a mod still wants it:

Hey all,
Are you still having some trouble launching the game or have any of you found a fix/workaround?
If you're crashing to the desktop or can't launch the game another forum user posted this workaround.
