Game Performance on PC TANKED.. NO, it's not my rig

    My guess is you are experiencing Direct X 12 slow down due to the new patch.  Someone on this forum determined that if you run a NVidia 20 series card you have to switch to Direct X 11.

    I have been able to verify this myself - my desktop with a 2080 Ti - the game is not playable using Direct X 12 - Direct X 11 is fine.  I have a laptop with a 1080 in it and it runs Direct X 12 just fine....hence it’s a RTX or 20 series issue.

    Go into options in game and enable Direct X 12 or disable as the case may be.

That was it. Disabled DX12 and all my problems vanished. Runs perfect now. Thank you muchley. Man I can't even remember the days when updates, patches and drivers DIDN'T break things or make them worse in some way. Pretty sad.
